Here in Blind Bay, we are able to enjoy Dragon Boating in one of the most picturesque spots on Shuswap Lake. We share the bay with eagles, loons and many other birds. With our kayak and canoe group, we explore the local lakes and rivers in our area.
The purpose of our Society is to promote Dragon Boating and other paddling activities in the North and South Shuswap. Specifically, we look to:
- Promote life-long health and fitness through Dragon Boating and paddling.
- Promote a safe and healthy respect of water sports.
- Foster the building of community spirit.
Our dragon boat season starts in April with registration, followed by a test paddle for new paddlers interested in trying the sport and then paddling twice a week in May through to September. The kayak/canoe group will go out every two weeks, alternating Wednesday and Saturday mornings.

Events
Dragon Boat Festivals are a fun way of meeting like-minded paddlers. Festivals occur throughout the province and can even take you into International waters.
Various social events are held throughout the year.
